The Book is Hardcover and is a first edition. (Lots of the books on ebay are softcover and not first edition).   I am not a book dealer, I am an autograph collector. To me the book appears to have never been read and has very minor shelf wear. It's in the condition a book would have been in that was bought at a book store, handed to President Carter to sign, then put back on a book shelf for almost 25 years. As a collector with over 40 years of experience I am confident this autograph is authentic. I have no reason to believe the listed item isn't authentic. If I had any doubts I wouldn't list the autograph for sale. That said, if any autograph would fail JSA authentication a full refund will be provided. If you have any concerns about the authenticity please let me know.
