●The CAT-300 is designed to withstand 300W input power. However, during tuning, extremely high voltages may occur in the tuning circuit, and the impedance seen by the radio changes significantly. Therefore, to protect the radio, keep the transmit power below 10W during tuning.
● Do not operate the BAND switch while the radio is transmitting. This will cause the load SWR to temporarily become infinite, potentially damaging the radio and CAT-300.
Additionally, do not apply transmit power exceeding 300W to the CAT-300. Doing so may cause malfunction.
●The CAT-300 can be tuned within the range of 10Ω to 600Ω (SWR approx. 2.5:1). However, if the SWR of the connected antenna system falls outside this range, do not force tuning. Adjust the antenna system first before use.
● Never apply an external power supply voltage of 15V or higher to the meter scale plate illumination lamp. Doing so will cause malfunction.
