Monroe S. Alechman (b. 1937) – American graphic designer who later served as Senior Creative Director for Estée Lauder / Origins.
Pat Weisberg (1937 – 2017) – New York artist trained at Cornell & Pratt; principal lettering designer for Steuben Glass; her work appears in Twentieth Century Calligraphy and Letter Arts.
The piece belongs to the continuum of 1960s psychedelic and modernist graphic design—a time when typography itself became art.
It predates the Alechman family’s Daddee Design New Year cards (1975–82) and reveals their shared design DNA: radiant color, warm human lettering, and spiritual themes.
Where most calligraphic work sought perfection, this art celebrates expression and rhythm—a tangible artifact of its cultural moment.
