Orville by Gibson 1992 LPC -Les Paul Custom- 1992 (no251103)

1992s Orville by Gibson 1992 LPC -Les Paul Custom-

The Orville brand was developed to compete with rival companies in the Japanese market.
It bears the name of Gibson's founder, Orville Henry Gibson,
and shows the company's serious commitment to the Japanese market.

This guitar is from an era when meticulous woodworking techniques were lavished on in Gibson's domestic workshops, and this model is a testament to that level of perfection.

The classic black color and gold hardware create an elegant appearance. The gently aged parts, body, and finish give it the deep, rich look you expect from a '92s guitar.

The body structure is in the traditional Les Paul style, with a maple top and mahogany back. The bright, firm attack of the maple and the rich mid-low range of the mahogany blend exquisitely to produce a powerful, core-like tone. The moderately tanned multi-binding adds a touch of elegance, accentuating the luxurious feel of a vintage guitar. The mahogany neck provides a firm grip, and the rosewood fingerboard with block inlays feels smooth to the touch. The pickups are Gibson TM490s, one of the charms of this period, with the Gibson logo engraved on the plate. The powerful tone evokes the lineage of the original Gibson sound, with a clear yet rich midrange, making it versatile from crunch to high gain. Clean tones produce lustrous highs and rich overtones, while driven tones deliver the tenacious sustain you'd expect from a Les Paul.

Exquisite construction, striking looks, and pickups that inherit the tone of the original.
This is a particularly well-finished Les Paul Custom among the Japanese-made Orvill By Gibson models, exuding a distinct personality on stage and in the studio.
A guitar you'll want to keep close at hand.

Although there are scratches, scuffs, and dents from use,
it is in player-tuned condition.
