InyPFA is a phase frequency analyzer that can accurately measure the frequency and phase difference between signals applied to two input terminals. The input frequency can be any frequency between 1 MHz and 290 MHz. A typical use is to measure the difference between two 10 MHz clocks. TinyPFA can display phase and frequency differences digitally, and display the relationship between measurement results and time in a graph. The measurement results can be stored on an SD card inserted into the SD card slot, or sent to a PC via USB, and programs such as TimeLab can be run for further display and processing. The phase and frequency measurement accuracy is better than 1 e-12 per second. Please note that the maximum frequency difference that can be displayed depends on the measurement time (Tau), which is approximately 200 Hz/s. Therefore, for Tau of 1 s, the maximum frequency difference is 200 Hz. TinyPFA is a portable battery powered device that uses a USB port for charging and comes with a 4-inch display screen, making it very convenient to carry and operate.
TinyPFA is based on the hardware of NanoVNA-H4 and runs customized software to measure small deviations between two signals with similar frequencies. If you already have NanoVNA-H4 and do not need tinyPFA for long-term measurement, you can use NanoVNA-H4 to flash in the tinyPFA firmware and use it without the need for repeated purchases.
TinyPFA is not a frequency meter and its internal reference is inaccurate and unstable. It is only used for measuring the deviation of two signals with similar frequencies. It can be used to compare a signal with a very accurate reference signal.
TinyPFA is not a phase noise analyzer.
