Fine vintage porcelain shell dish made by the Britannia Porcelain Works, Karlsbad (Carlsbad), Austria, in operation between 1898 and 1925. The dish measures 19 cm long, 10 cm wide and 3 cm high.
It features a moulded scallop shell form with a soft celadon green to white ombré glaze, and traces of gilt along the rim which have worn with age. The reverse carries the red Britannia Porcelain Works Karlsbad Austria backstamp showing the seated Britannia figure, and is impressed with the numbers 1305 and I, referring to the shape and mould series.
In good antique condition with some light wear to the colour and gilding, but no chips, cracks or repairs. Displays beautifully and a lovely example of early 20th-century Austrian export porcelain.
Dimensions: 19 cm long × 10 cm wide × 3 cm high
