Detail
Released by MOVIC in 2017 as a made-to-order limited edition, this official collaboration watch is inspired by Kallen Kozuki and her iconic Knightmare Frame, Guren Mk-II, from Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion.
The dial masterfully combines Kallen's indomitable spirit with the distinctive design of the Guren Mk-II. The left side of the dial (approximately 7 to 11 o'clock) boldly represents the machine's most recognizable feature—its Radiation Wave Arm, with its sharp golden clawed fingers serving as the hour markers. In contrast, the right side of the dial (1 to 5 o'clock) depicts the mechanical fingers of the Guren's conventional left arm, creating a striking asymmetrical design.
This layout was carefully engineered so that when the watch is worn on the left wrist and viewed naturally, the Guren's golden right hand appears on the wearer's own right side. By contrasting the colors and shapes of the hour markers on each side, the design faithfully captures the machine's unique asymmetry and overwhelming power in a way that is both artistic and instantly recognizable to fans.
Adding further depth to the design, the background of the dial is subtly embossed with the emblem of the Black Knights, the organization for which Kallen fought with unwavering conviction.
The watch as a whole embodies Kallen as a member of the Black Knights. Vivid red is used for both the dial and the leather strap, symbolizing Kallen's passion, her signature hair color, and the crimson armor of the Guren Mk-II. In contrast, the case, crown, and buckle feature a durable black ion-plated (IP Black) finish, representing the imposing presence of the Black Knights. The dramatic contrast between red and black perfectly reflects Kallen's fearless determination on the battlefield.
Beyond its impressive design, the watch is powered by the highly reliable Japanese MIYOTA 0S10 quartz chronograph movement, offering dependable accuracy, practical functionality, and excellent long-term serviceability.
To date, this remains the only official wristwatch ever produced for Kallen Kozuki, and the likelihood of a future reissue is extremely low. Even when the watch itself occasionally appears on the secondary market, finding a complete set—including the original limited-edition presentation box, instruction manual, and all accompanying accessories—is exceptionally rare. As a result, this watch stands as one of the most desirable and collectible Code Geass collaboration timepieces ever released.
The battery was replaced in October 2025.
