Rare English Victorian Edwardian 1900 London 9K Rose Gold Plain Dual Photo Locket Pendant 🇬🇧 Typical English fully hallmarked, and I mean fully, since they leave nothing out, starting with G.V & Co for Gourdel, Vales & Company who were located in both London and Birmingham in the first quarter of the 20th century, followed by 9  .375 for 9 carat gold content, followed by a leopards head for the city of London, and last the letter e for the exact year 1900, turn of the century, so a very early gold crafted piece of theirs, which makes it even rarer ! Weighs approximately 3.1 grams altogether frame, glass covers and original photos included. Approximately 3.3 cm (1  4.5/16 inches) in height from top attachment loop, but excluding the loose circular bale, to the frame bottom, and approximately 2.5 cm (15.5/16 of an inch) in width or diameter if you will, and approximately 5 mm thick from center glass cover to opposite center glass cover, since the glass covers convex outwards. I have seen and dealt with many such lockets but most are of French origin, so finding an English one is quite a treat !
