FERNANDES FST-70 1970s (no251005)

This is a Fernandes Stratocaster FST-70 from the stone logo era.
It's difficult to distinguish from an FST-50, but we can estimate this based on the string guide position and pickups.

The exact production period cannot be determined, but it was probably produced between 1977 and 1979.

The body uses a wood similar to ash.
The electrical system appears to be nearly original.
The selector switch may have been replaced, but it is the type with a slight click at the half-tone position, which was called a "3-point, 5-position switch" at the time, and is likely original.

The headstock is large.
The tuning machines are Rotomatic type with an octagonal case.

The neck joint is three-point.
Since four-point joints were adopted from 1980, we can estimate this particular guitar to be from the 1970s.

It is in good playing condition.
The neck is straight and the truss rod works fine.
About 60-70% of the frets remain, and there are only slight dents from the strings on the low frets.
The neck is neither too thick nor too thin, with a nice C-shape.

There are some dents and paint chips, but it is in relatively good condition for something of this era.
Many models from this era are heavy, but this one weighs just right at 3.5kg.
