Linux is a different Operating system than Windows or Chrome. Most things work on this laptop with Linux, but we cannot guarantee ALL functionality works(linux may need additional drivers for some components). ChromeOS is 100% REMOVED(as these laptops are now end of updates from Google), new firmware has been installed, you can now boot most any OS(we have tested a dozen different linux variations, but we make no guarantees). Ubuntu, Fedora, and Mint seem to work the best. When new, the trackpads on these laptops were described as mushy. A USB mouse is much nicer.

Firefox web browser installed - modern updated web browser.

Linux includes Libre Office. There is an app store with many more apps available to install.
Games in pictures are not installed, but can be found and can be downloaded for FREE in the app store - many games, and other programs work. This is an inexpensive vintage laptop, not ALL programs will work. We do not accept returns, so make sure YOU check specs/system requirements for your application needs. IF you have issues, you can create a bootable USB of your choice of linux to install with Rufus on a PC and try something else, or if something goes wrong and you need to re-install.
Google for guides. This is a vintage basic use laptop. NOTE - the top "fkeys"(volume, brightness, etc) are not mapped, *YOU* can map them, by default linux doesn't match up, but you can map them - Google for how-to(hint - Gallium OS keyboard layout).

The app store has lots of games and stuff available.

Please be aware, not all apps in the store work properly, some wont load after install. Try and see what works! We've tested many that work great, as can be seen in the many pictures...
