This is a vintage, preowned ANRI Toriart "Charlemagne" Chess Set.

This vintage chess set is known for its hand-painted "Sculptite" pieces, a composite material made of sawdust and resin, mounted on turned wooden bases.

The set is housed in a finely crafted wooden storage case measuring 11.65” x 7.85” x 3.25” with compartmented slots designed to secure each piece.

This collectible set was produced by ANRI Toriart in Italy.

The Charlemagne set is part of the Toriart Collection and features detailed figures representing the armies of Charlemagne. Please refer to my pictures for details. The case and pieces are in very good preowned condition, weighing 3lbs 12.7oz.
