Vintage Bulova "Maxim" – Early 1930s Art Deco Men’s Watch – White Gold-Filled Case – Serviced with Stretch Bracelet & Glass Crystal

Based on a 1933 Bulova advertisement, this watch dates to somewhere in the early 1930s and is known as the “Maxim.” It's a very handsome example of early Art Deco design, featuring a white gold-filled stepped case with yellow gold detailing on the bezel, yellow gold hour markers, and matching gold-tone hour and minute hands. These elements beautifully complement the rare and distinctive dial.

I believe it houses a 10-series movement, most likely with 15 or 17 jewels, which was standard for Bulova at the time.

To complete the vintage look, I had an era-correct gold-filled scissor-type stretch bracelet installed, along with a hard-to-find glass crystal during its recent service. It’s running well and looks fantastic on the wrist.

This is a truly classic men’s Bulova that showcases the style and craftsmanship of the early 1930s!
