A faulty solenoid or broken wiring (e.g., a failed ignition switch). Starter Spins Freely (High-speed whirring noise, engine doesn't turn) Likely Cause: A failed overrunning clutch that slips and cannot engage the flywheel. It could also be caused by a broken shift Fork or damaged gears preventing proper meshing.
