Schneider-Kreuznach Xenon 50mm f/1.9 Lens – DKL Mount – No Retina Branding – Circa 1961 – Clean Glass ------------ Up for consideration is a true oddity from the golden age of German optics: a Schneider-Kreuznach Xenon 50mm f/1.9 lens, serial #11,076,508, dating to approximately 1961. This is the fast, highly respected Xenon formula... but with an unusual twist: no “Retina” branding anywhere on the lens. Most examples of this glass were co-labeled for Kodak Retina SLRs — this one stands on its own. Mount appears to be standard DKL (Deckel) bayonet, fitting Kodak Retina Reflex, Voigtländer Bessamatic, and similar 35mm SLR bodies. The lens shows clean coatings, smooth focus, and a unique stopless aperture action that glides through its range with proper tension. Marked “379” discreetly near the rear mount — likely a factory alignment or production code. Physically excellent. A previous owner may have re-ringed or sourced it for technical use. No box, caps or case included, but will be packed with our trademark museum-grade overkill.
