Cover by Harry Brown

This rare vintage issue of The New Yorker from April 10, 1937, features an elegant cover by Harry Brown, an artist known for his striking and evocative illustrations that often captured the charm of urban life. Brown’s unique style brought a fresh and playful perspective to The New Yorker's iconic cover art during this period.

This issue is in very good condition, with minor wear on the edges, which is to be expected for a magazine of its age. Please see photos.

Finding a copy like this is becoming increasingly rare, with only a handful likely still in circulation, making it a valuable addition to any collection.

I have been accumulating, inheriting and collecting great items ranging from art and antiques to electronics and records and just about everything else for 68 years! Since I don't want to burdon my kids with sorting and selling I will be listing most of my items for sale! Check back often!

My auctions have starting bids that represent great values! Always fun to see where the bidding goes! If my auction includes a "make offer" option, you are welcome to make offers above or below the opening bid! I will seriously consider any bonafide offers!  Similarly my Buy It Nows make for great buys and also if I include a "make offer" option, you know what you can do!

You can bid or buy with confidence as my feedback is as good as it gets and has been for 25 years!

I would appreciate it if you would contact me first regarding any damage during shipping or if you feel the item does not match my dpescription. I find it's better to work things out together and avoid eBay's cookie cutter approach to any issues.

Thank you!
