Rare antiquarian art plates and article: SYSTEM OF CHYMISTRY/CHEMISTRY, with 40 pages of text and a beautiful copper engravings of CHYMICAL APPARATUS, showing 20 different lab tools; the second plate, I think it's engraved even though its just text, but it shows CHYMICAL CHARACTERS (symbols of chemistry and alchemy). Though no date is given, this is from the 1790's edition of a work called "Hall's Encyclopedia", published in the UK. Measures 9.5x14 inches; plates are blank on the reverse.

Condition is EX: the plates are off-white and very clean with a couple of very small spots and tiny edge tear; text pages have minor foxing and small edge tear to first page.
