exact item shown.  box of  swingline file fasteners, upc 37102, inside the box are some new fasteners and some used ones, from the style in the photo, this must be 1960s, because the box has a zip code in the address, it's after 1962.  These kind of clips were most commonly used with legal documents and medical records that were fastened at the top.  There probably aren't many of these boxes left, after all, who would ever save such a thing?  well, this, if I remember right, is from the estate of a friend who retired almost 50 years ago as a professor, who kept a lot of stuff.
