This is an elegant sterling silver Charles Rennie Mackintosh style brooch which is hallmarked CJL to the reverse (CJL is the mark for Carrick Jewellery Limited, a Scottish jeweller).  This piece has an Edinburgh hallmark dating it to 1989.

This super silver brooch is in the Charles Rennie Mackintosh Glasgow Rose design with an elegant stylised central rose surrounded with pretty raised curls and attractive leaf shapes.  

This is a larger than usual silver brooch which can be worn horizontally, vertically or diagonally.  The length of the brooch is 2 inches / 5 cm with a width of 0.75 in / 2 cm.  The weight of the brooch is 6.5g.

This super brooch has a good strong silver clasp and pin to the reverse all securely attached to the brooch and is secure when worn,
