Rare antique sheet music: DEAR COLLEGE CHUMS by Charles Harris, and "sung with great success by THE SILVERS"; 8 pages including covers, copyright 1898. Measures 10.5x13.5 inches. The series of photos on the cover illustrates the song. The first line is "Three college chums, they were partying" - in each verse they meet at the same tavern, with 15 years passing in between; in the second, only two meet as the third has gone to prison; at the end the third returns from prison and the other two are dead, so he sings their college fight song one more time before dying himself. RARE - I can't seem to find even one other copy of this in 20+ years of completed online auctions.
Condition is G+: lots of small edge tears, a couple of longer ones and a large edge chip, some wrinkling, still very presentable.
