I am selling 6 rimmed cereal/soup bowls and 4 non rimmed cereal/soup bowls.

All the bowls are 6 inches in diameter.

These are good, robust pieces of Woods Ware in great condition with no issues.

I am selling all 4 of the non-rimmed bowls for £15 and all 6 of the rimmed bowls for £20

Dating from the 1940s Woods Ware is known for its World War Two Make Do and Mend associations.  Potteries needed to produce earthenware tea and table wares in a way that was less expensive and the “Burlington” shape fitted this requirement very well.  There is elegance to the rims to the plates and handles to the cups which are expressive of the Art Deco period.  

As a post war classic, Woods Ware became associated with homely connotations and was used in church halls and schools up and down the UK.  Woods Ware is now collected and used as vintage pieces which are not too vintage or flowery and fit with the elegant and pared back classics that fit with interiors today. 

This item has had a previous life and may show signs of wear and tear commensurate with age.  If I spot any issues these will be included in the description or in the photos of the item. Please check these before purchasing.
