About the artist:

Gene Murray has long commanded the raves of wildlife art collectors worldwide. His ability to capture wildlife as it really exists has prompted this acclaim. The development of his incomparable style using only colored india inks and pen, a style unobtainable with the brush, has brought the delight of detailed portraits of birds and animals to thousands of homes and offices around the world. The excitement about Murray's work is generated by it's unique quality . . . the degree of difficulty mastering his art. Gene Murray was truly an American Master in the Art of Wildlife Pen and Ink drawings and one of the few who practiced this exacting, unique tradition. Mr Murray holds three National Audubon Society Awards. His work has appeared in several National Publications and he was a donor to Ducks Unlimited, Inc, Although he never had formal art training, Murray's originals and collector's prints sell nationally and internationally. Gene Murray deceased June 9, 1992 and greatly missed.
