A stunning, chunky late Victorian period marquise-shaped ring in solid 15 karat gold, set with alternating rectangular step-cut emeralds and incredible table-cut diamonds, around three lustrous pearls.

It has a wonderful deep, galleried underbezel giving it relief and character that mirrors the further raise of the pearl settings - it really does look amazingly eyecatching from all angles. The matching cuts of the emeralds and diamonds have a personality all their own, the straight lines of their geometric cuts contrasting the naturalistic look of their graduating sizes and slight variation in hand-cut facets, and they speak with the eyelash surrounds of the raised pearl settings. Table-cut diamonds especially are extremely rare and highly sought-after.

Its tri-forked ornate wide shoulders taper to a ribbed, wide band that's perfectly in keeping with the artistry of the rest of the piece.

It's in lovely wearable antique condition, with one replaced pearl and a few nicks/chips to the stones. Weighing in at a very impressive 7.3 grams, it's a ring size 6 resizable, and measures 22 x 13 mm across the head.
