Arnold Daghani 1909-1985 was an Anglo-Romanian artist who escaped Romanian and settled in Britian inm the 1960s. His was was ignored by the art establishment who he lampooned in a series of satirical collages made from chopping up the recently introduced colour supplements. The Writer on Art of the 20th Century is a quirky and amusing take on a pompous art writer. Sifned and dated Dec 5 1967, 24 x 15 cm collage and 9 x 18 cm box with text in an acid free mount.
