This vintage No 7 cast iron, three-legged kettle likely manufactured in the late 1880s. The lower interior surfaces show some shallow pitting, which is visible in the photos. Considering it is over 135 years old, the kettle is in overall very nice condition, with no chips, cracks, or repairs.

This item was stripped down to bare metal using collector approved lye bath and electrolysis treatments. This process insures the removal all residue from previous use making it safe to use once more. One round of seasoning at 450 degrees with Crisco for several hours. No chips, cracks or repairs to the pan. This item is photographed in very bright light to highlight fine details. Under these lighting conditions, pan may take on a brown color.
