"The art of engraving (qhalamzani) is to decorate and carve patterns on metal objects, especially copper, gold, silver, brass, or in other words, to create lines and patterns with a pen by hammering metal objects."
Dimensions are 7.5" height by 5" diameter ( widest ) and 2.5" top opening.
Weighs 472 grams.
Unfortunately NO markings or hallmarks can be found.
The vase is decorated with four medallions featuring peacocks and flowers.
It is in great condition, considering the age. Has two very minor indentations, please see pictures.
The last two pictures show an acid testing which proves the material is silver.
Also, with close examination, you can barely see remanence of some markings.
