Postage Stamps can be graded in 3 ways:

MINT: A stamp that is in PERFECT condition, usually intended for collecting.  Some stamps in this set might not meet that standard, although they are still perfectly fine for mailing.

NEW: A stamp that had never been affixed to an envelope and it has never been used for mailing. ALL of these stamps will meet that standard. 

USED: A stamp that had been placed on a mailing piece and/or has been cancelled by the Post Office.  NONE of these stamps are in that condition.
