By selecting sunlight, precipitation and vegetation as his subjects… Nick chases the colour.
“ I’m obsessed with colour and the physicality of paint. Colour can exercise enormous influence on the body and soul, colour tastes, colour texture, colour perfumes and colour sounds. Being at one with the natural world I try to find colours that will fit my sensation. “
Nick uses classic techniques to achieve broken surfaces giving his work it’s distinctive style. Recently he has moved from painting in clear transparent acrylic glazes to using opaque impasto oil applied by knife.
“ Direct knife painting is exciting and all about creating in one live session… working wet into wet embracing accidents at every turn to create a unique concert of visual stimuli … time is up as soon as the paint starts drying.”
Employing a wealth of experience in technique and composition development he works directly to canvas with very little drawing, using a limited palette that quite naturally does not include black.
“ I’m interested in creating a space through colour contrasts rather than simple shadows of light and dark. The resultant surface is one that seems to connect with the viewer in an almost magical manner that somehow soothers and exhilarates at the same time.”
Since leaving art school Nick has been a professional artist all his life and has enjoyed a wide range of disciplines including large-scale mural painting in the palaces of the Middle East. He is a full time artist painting everyday from his studio in SW London where he now focuses on his particular painting styles, selecting as his subjects the fundamental elements for our existence on this small planet. He has exhibited in numerous solo & group shows and has his work in many collections including those of celebrity and royal households.

SHIPPING & DELIVERY
Timings and Postal Methods. We always try to send out purchased items the same day or the next day and certainly within 2 working days of receiving payment. For specialised, large, or fragile items, we will always liaise with you immediately after purchase to discuss preferred methods of delivery and timings. Smaller items will be carefully parcelled and usually sent via either Royal Mail 48 Tracked service or other couriers like Parcelforce of FedEx. We are always happy to use a priority service, at the buyer's expense, if required and we'll combine Shipping Costs for multiple purchases.
Collection Only Items. For larger items such as furniture or more fragile items, we will generally sell as "collections only". However, we are always happy to provide delivery quotes using either one of our vans or those of a National courier. So if collection from the Maidstone area is not possible for you, please do not hesitate to ask us for a delivery quote.
UK Shipping. We ship throughout the UK. We can only use the address provided on your order from eBay. Please note that deliveries to Northern Ireland, the Scottish Highlands and the Channel Islands will sometimes incur a surcharge, so if you require delivery to any of these regions, please let us know prior to bidding if the cost is a factor of your proposed purchase, or prior to payment of invoice if it isn't.
International Shipping. We are able to ship most items to most addresses throughout the world! Our international shipping is carried out mainly through eBay Global Shipping Program but by prior agreement, especially on large items or multiple purchases, we will happily explore the most suitable and cost-effective postal methods for you. International customers, please contact eBay directly if you have any questions related to GSP shipping and fees and do let us know if we can help.
PAYMENT INFORMATION
Payment is strictly through the eBay payment system. We would ask that payment be made immediately upon purchase, and certainly within 3 days of the auction close unless otherwise agreed with us prior to bidding. We will cancel the order and relist the item if the payment is not made within the agreed time frame.

RETURNS & REFUNDS
If your item does not meet entirely with your approval or has become damaged in transit, please let us know immediately as we would want to step in and try our hardest to resolve the situation. Our policy with returns is to refund purchase costs immediately including all postage charges, as soon as the item has been safely returned to us. If the item is unwanted or has been ordered by mistake, refunds will be given if the item is returned within 30 days, but the purchaser will be responsible for all postage costs. For larger and collection-only items we do not offer returns in line with eBay policy.
