The Confederate Medical Service was organized and modeled after the same service in the Federal Army. Each regiment had a surgeon and an assistant surgeon, usually Major assisted by a Captain
#13 in Civil War Regimental Series.
This is a new, artist signed and numbered, limited edition historic art print. Only 1050 of these prints were produced; this is number 732. The print also contains the original, numbered Certificate of Authenticity complete with a description of the scene and history of the Confederate States Medical Service. The plates and production drafts of this print have been destroyed and it will not be reprinted. The print is sharp, bright, clean and new. It has never been framed or displayed and has been stored flat in an acid-free print holder in a dark, climate-controlled, smoke-free environment. Print is sold out and only available on the secondary market. The print comes shipped flat and well protected. (My poor photos don't do this one justice; they make it look like there is darkness or a shade on the print, but their is not in reality.)
