Bottom not mesh, it overflowed. Wish I could Return.

I didn't realize the bottom was solid plastic. I would not have gotten this. Making 3/4 a pot is the only way it works otherwise this morning I was greeted by a clogged coffee maker that has the grounds overflow. I am pretty bummed. I already used it and threw away the packaging otherwise I would return it.
WASTE OF MONEY!!! BUYER BEWARE!!!

Ordered with a new coffee pot and received on 1/29/2019, didn?t use for about two weeks.Have been using 1-2 times per day for approximately 3 1/2 weeks until last Thursday 3/7/19.Started to make a pot of coffee and noticed three cracks in the bottom of the plastic base radiating out from the center, as seen in pictures, which would have yes, filtered the coffee grounds... right through to the pot of coffee. Yuk.I emailed the seller, Teklectric (TM) Kitchen and Home, one week ago and have not heard back from them at all regarding an exchange.3 1/2 weeks usage for $6.75 is a RIP OFF!!!!! Even with Prime Membership. Not to mention LOUSY CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM THIS SELLER-Teklectric (TM) Kitchen and Home.Back to paper filters.DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS LOUSY PRODUCT WITH EQUALLY LOUSY CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!
Doesn't Drain well

We used to have one of these for our old coffee maker but went back to using paper filters for a while. I wanted to switch back to reusable filters, so I bought this one. I didn't realize the base is solid, which means it drains too slow. We ended up with a ton of grounds in our coffee as they floated over and around the filter when it was full. Buying one with a mesh bottom to (hopefully) alleviate this issue.I did find that doing just 4 scoops of coffee seemed to help, but we usually do five scoops (which doesn't even fill the filter halfway, so it is not like we are overfilling!) Might work fine if you usually do weaker or smaller pots of coffee.
Have to use extra grounds

The only thing that I would say I have found wrong with this reusable filter so far is that you have to use an extra tbsp of grounds to get the same strength of coffee I was getting from the paper filters. I think it?s because of the plastic bottom and the water pooling there some. No grounds have seeped through in about 5 uses. Easy to clean in the sink with the water sprayer to get all the little grounds out. Fits in my 8-12 mr coffee maker just fine. Make sure you leave the main filter holder in though. I think some people take that out and say it doesn?t fit. Just put it in the same configuration you would if it was a paper filter and it fits snug.
Works great with Bunn V2

A great product. I?ve tested it out through several pots even using 4 scoops of coffee; way stronger than normal. I don?t get where people say it?s hard to clean. I simply dump the grounds in my compost bucket then rinse it out. I wasn?t sure about the solid bottom instead of micro screen but realize it?s actually a good feature as the water must go through more grounds to get to the pot. I?m vary satisfied with this filter. Yes you?ll get a little silt in the pot but that?s part of using a micro screen. You?ll also get more of the oils from the bean giving the coffee more flavor. It?s definitely well worth the money.
It's a coffee filter that can be used more than once.

My previous permanent filter lasted over 10 years. This one will ne lucky to last 1.The handle has already broken off, and it does not fit my coffee maker well, I have to squeeze it in place. It's already starting to lose its vertical strength, and is bowing.I thought this thinking the bottom of the filter was also screen material, however it is not.Bottom line, I'm just disappointed with it.Note: 8 days later, and the seller has not replied to my comment, or any other 1 star comments. Speaks volumes.
Great Mesh Filter

Came today in the mail and was waiting for me when I got home from work. Unpackaged it and it was in perfect condition. Washed it, and put it into my black and decker coffee maker. Fit was perfect. Not to snug or loose. Made my mug of cocoa (yes, cocoa, not coffee) using french roasted ground cocoa beans and it came out perfect. I have a personal coffee maker with a mesh filter that I was using and the cocoa turned out perfect in that, but my husband wanted to start drinking some as well so I needed to use our 8-12 cup coffee maker. I used an unbleached paper filter to make it and the taste and consistency of the cocoa was altered so much that I knew I needed a mesh filter for the larger coffee maker as well. The Gold Tone filter did the trick and now my husband and I both are loving our cocoa!
Works Well Because It Fits My Coffee Pot

This filter is easy to clean and seems sturdy. I use it with a Hamilton Beach 12 Cup Programmable Coffee Maker - model 46290. It both fits and works perfectly making 4 'cups' (using the scale on the carafe where a 'cup' is only 6 oz) of coffee with no grounds in the finished coffee. I grind my coffee to what feels like coarse cornmeal (not to powder so as to clog the filter and cause overflow), use about 10-12 T, and after brewing the soaked grounds expand to about 1.5 inches from the top of the basket filter. This filter fits my coffee maker basket perfectly but I cannot imagine making a full pot of coffee using the standard 2 T per 'cup' even with a paper filter because it would require 24 T of coffee, double what I use which would nearly fill the basket dry, never-mind soaked, but that is more about the seemingly incorrect designated capacity of the coffee maker. Realistically it should be an 8 cup coffee maker.
Works with B&D coffee maker

Worked perfectly with my Black &Decker coffee maker. I saw the ad mentioned Mr Coffee but I took the chance and this filter went right into place like it was custom made. Very pleased with the purchase.
Surprisingly Effective

I will admit that I was pretty surprised when I received this filter and saw that the bottom was completely plastic. I've had similar gold reusable filters in the past, and they were mesh on the bottom (just like the sides). Since this new filter was designed differently, I was unsure if it would affect the flavor of my coffee. Now that I've used it several times, the coffee tastes very good. Cleaning is also a easier than my previous filters. I would recommend this coffee filter.
