Gibson J-45 Deluxe Sunburst 1978 (1978) (no250615) Gibson J-45 Deluxe Sunburst 1978 The Gibson J-45 has been supporting players around the world for 80 years since its release in 1942. It is a representative model of Gibson acoustics that continues to be loved through time. This time we have a rare 70's J-45 Deluxe in stock! The characteristic of the 1970's J-45 is that it has square shoulders like a Martin dreadnought, not the commonly known round shoulders, and the scale is 644mm scale, which is different from the Gibson scale. The bracing structure is also double X bracing. The "Deluxe" model is basically the same as the regular "J-45", but there are differences in the looks and the luxury of the decoration. There are no particularly unusual specifications. The pegs are the type with the original Gibson logo, and there is no adjustable bridge. The string height is standard and there is no particular difficulty in playing, so it seems that you can use it without any stress as it is. It goes without saying that the tone is significantly different from current models, but there are certainly specifications and sounds that only exist in this late 1970s "J-45". These are analyzed and reproduced by the custom shop, and when I actually played the real thing, it had a nice high note and produced a great sound when stroking chords with a pick.
