DESCRIPTION: FASHIONED OF A DOVE GREY SILK TAFFETA WITH DORSET BUTTONS TRIMMING THE HAND HAMMERED HOOK AND EYE CLOSURE IN THE FRONT.
LACE AND CRIMPED SILK RIBBON TRIMS FULLY AROUND THE FRONT AND REAR. SLEEVES ARE SET OFF THE SHOULDER WITH PIPING AROUND THE ARM HOLES AND LACE AND SILK TRIMMING THE BOTTOM CUFF.
INTERIOR IS IN COTTON TWILL WITH BONING ON EACH SIDE OF THE FRONT.
COMES WITH ITS MATCHING HEAD PIECE THAT IS WIRED AND STIFF, COVERED IN IVORY SILK WITH FLORALS AND BERRIES RUNNING THROUGHOUT THE VALLEY IN THE CENTER.
LEAF PATTERN IVORY SILK LACE TRIMS WITH EACH CORNER OF THE FRONT HAVING A LOOP ATTACHED AND IT APPEARS THAT IT MAY HAVE BEEN WORN ON THE BACK OF THE HEAD WITH BOX PLEATING ALONG THE BOTTOM AND TRIMMED IN THE LEAF PATTERN IVORY LACE.
CONDITION: A LARGE RING OF DISCOLORATION IS BENEATH EACH UNDERARM WITH HEAVY SPLITTING SEEN BENEATH THE LEFT. A SMALL SPLIT IS ON THE REAR COLLAR EDGE.
TRACES OF MATCHING LEAF PATTERN LACE ARE SEEN ON THE CUFF EDGES.
THE LEAF PATTERN LACE OF THE BONNET HAS MANY SMALL BREAKS BUT REMAINS ATTACHED. SOME OF THE PLEATS ALONG THE BOTTOM RIGHT SIDE ON THE SILK OF THE BONNET NEED TO BE STITCHED BACK INTO THEIR PROPER PLACEMENT.
WELL WORTHY FOR THE WONDERFUL HEAD PIECE ALONE AS THESE WEDDING ENSEMBLES ARE SO VERY HARD TO FIND.
