Professionally Graded Card

Condition Scale:

Mint

(I usually reserve "mint" for professionally graded cards, regardless of actual condition.)

[NM] Near Mint

(No plainly visible scratches/dents. At first glance a Mint card.

Holo/Foil is clear and bright. Almost no edge-whitening. No scratches. No damage to the card stock.)

[Ex] Excellent
(One minor blemish or factory defect: What many sellers may call "Near Mint". Great for collections, not for grading.)

[LP] Light Play

(Obvious, noticeable blemishes: Finish of card has some buffing, light scratches, denting, and/or edge-whitening.)

[HP] Heavy Play

(Extensive degree of the above blemishes: Holo/Foil is dull from buffing. No changes to physical structure of the card.)

[DMG] Damaged

(Folds, tears, moisture wrinkling, or other changes to card structure.eBay does not specify between Damaged and Heavy Play, but I do.)
