The operating principle of hydraulic rotators is based on using the pressure differential in the hydraulic system to move an internal rotor. The main components in hydraulic rotators are the rotor, the body and the hydraulic fluid flow system.

While hydraulic pumps generate fluid flow by converting mechanical energy into hydraulic energy, hydraulic rotators work in the opposite direction. When supplying hydraulic energy to the rotor, the rotators convert it back into mechanical energy.
