Hydraulic valve double overcentre VBCD DE-A | 3/8 | 40L/min | 350 bar WBCDE

The ‘overcenter’ valve is a kind of combination of a typical actuator lock (VBPSE) and a bypass valve (VMP). It is used to block the movement of the actuator piston rod in one direction. Movement of the actuator in the opposite direction is not protected. It ensures stabilisation of the piston rod position when the valve is not controlled and high forces act on the actuator.

The valve stops working when the hydraulic valve is controlled or when the forces on the cylinder are too high and therefore the pressure set on the valve is exceeded.

The valve can be used as a brake and to block the rotation of the hydraulic motor. When we stop controlling the motor, the valve will gradually brake the motor without exposing the motor and the valve to damage and then prevent it from rotating freely. The valve is only able to brake and secure one direction of rotation.

Connection:
Connect V1 and V2 to supply lines, e.g. sections in a hydraulic distributor. Connect C1 and C2 to the consumer e.g. double acting actuator.

The flow from V1 to C1 and from V2 to C2 is completely blocked when there is no pressure on V1 and V2. The flow from V1 to C1 and from V2 to C2 opens when pressure is acting on V1 or V2.
