Hand crafted wild foraged mescal bean necklace
Mescal bean was used primarily by the Chichimecas and Mescalero Apache tribes who utilized the seeds of the Texas Mountain Laurel (also known as mescal bean) for ceremonial purposes. The bright red beans were also used to make sacred necklaces for ornamentation. The mescal bean has a long history with Native Americans and are found in archeological sites in Texas dating back over 6,000 years.
