Kanagawa

Ramie L Thread

Diameter = 1.10 mm

Breaking Strength = 33.8 lbs

Kanagawa's Ramie - is a thread made from nettles; it is not hemp (cannabis) or linen (flax) regardless of what may be on the packaging.   Technically ramie, hemp, and linen can all be called linens since all three are bast fibers.   Ramie is a strong, lustrous fiber that actually gets stronger when wet.   Ramie is prized by leather workers and book binders and also used for sewing ramie fabric and in jewelry beading.

Shipping and Handling Charges -  are set for the purchase of a single spool of thread.   Every additional spool is $0.15 additional for shipping and handling.   Buy more than one at a time or a different color at the same time to really reduce your shipping cost.   We ship via USPS to anywhere within the   United States.   After decades, I have settled on a pricing policy for shipping and handling that is fair to me and treats you in a manner in which I would want to be treated. The USPS and US government is ripping you off on postage.   You should be paying less than $1 to receive this and are paying close to $5.   And you wonder why items made in China are so much cheaper, well here is one big reason!

Colors -  we have the largest selection of colors outside of Japan.  These swatches were professionally photographed under the same conditions.   So while the colors are consistent under the photographic conditions used; they may appear different on your screen.   The most reliable color rendering can be obtained by viewing the largest photographs.   Following are color swatches of what we offer.
