Description:

Charming set of 4 original 1940s vintage anthropomorphic animal paper dolls featuring a family of kittens and a puppy. These die-cut cardboard figures depict two adult cats (“Mama Kitty” in a blue checkered dress and a male cat in a green suit holding “Happy Kitten Breakfast Kernels”), a young kitten (“Skippy Kitty” in pink overalls), and a puppy (“Mama Puppy” in a blue floral dress knitting).

The set includes:

• Mama Kitty: 7 x 3.5 inches. Penciled name on reverse. Good condition.

• Male Cat in Suit: 7 x 3 inches. Initials “AW” in pencil on reverse. Good condition.

• Mama Puppy: 7 x 3 inches. Penciled name on reverse with some light staining on the back. Good condition.

• Skippy Kitty (baby kitten): 5 x 4 inches. Penciled name on reverse. Good condition.

These figures were likely sold as cut-out play figures or paper dolls in the late 1940s to early 1950s. No maker’s mark is present, suggesting they may have originated from a magazine or children’s activity book. Minor wear from age.

Condition:

All pieces are in good vintage condition with bright colors and no major tears or creases. Light wear to edges consistent with age and use. Penciled names or initials are present on the reverse of each figure. Minor staining on the back of the “Mama Puppy” figure.
