Hello, and a Happy Winter season 2026 to you!   🌞

What I have for Sale here is a Spyderco Manix 2 Smooth Operator Upgrade Kit! All of these parts will fit the Manix 2 XL as well, and most of the parts will fit the Manix 2 Lightweight Knife, except for the 3 clip hole screw plugs. There is no place on the Lightweight version of the Manix 2 for the clip hole screw plugs to go. So maybe you can give them to a friend, or put them on one of your other Spyderco Knives? Because who only has one Spyderco Knife? 🤔

Make sure you check the title of this listing, to know exactly which Spring you are getting in this Kit.

The Spyderco Factory Spring is considered a Strong Spring.
We have a Medium Spring Listing option for you.
We also have a Light Spring Listing option for you.
We also have a separate listing that gets you both a Medium and a Light Spring in one package.
So if you'd like, you'll then have both on hand to check and find out, just exactly which one fits your needs best.

This kit includes:

A) - One New Spyderco CT02 Acrylic Knife Stand, for your upright displaying pleasure.

B) - One New Black Si3N4 Silicon Nitride Ceramic Ball Bearing (G5) for Super Smooth Operator Ball Bearing Cage Ball Lock Action.

C) - One New Allen Wrench for Installing your 3 Stainless Steel Clip Hole Plugs. To keep the dirt, lint, and ick out of those other three holes your Pocket Clip is not currently using, on the other side of your knife.

D) - Three New Stainless Steel threaded Clip Hole Plugs.

E) - One New Stainless Steel, Spring Exercise Rod (More about this down below)

F) - One New Stainless Steel Medium Spring, which is Lighter than came with your Manix 2 originally. This replacement Cage Ball Lock Spring makes it easier for you to open up your knife. Light enough, that some say they can now open up their Manix 2 using only one finger on the Ball Bearing Cage Lock.

The New Stainless Steel, Spring Exercise Rod, is for just that. Exercising your Ball Cage Lock Spring. Some people use it with their old spring still installed in their knife. To use it, you pull the ball cage lock back, swing out your knife blade, and then just slide-in the Exercise Rod ahead of the ball cage while you still have it pulled back. That's it. That rod now is keeping full pressure on the spring, thus "Exercising" it, by keeping it all full pressure. This will slightly weaken the spring pressure some. Not much, but it is noticeable over time. Slide the Rod mostly over to one side after installed, and you can use it as kind of a kick-stand, holding the knife up and open on your dresser at the end of a long day, while you sleep. Try it for one overnight, or six. For a lot of people though, after doing this overnight 'Exercise' trick for a few days, it's still not enough. Then they often decide to install a lighter spring, and while they are in there, and have the knife opened up anyway for cleaning, oiling, and replacing the spring, they go ahead and put in the better ceramic bearing.

If you have never had your Manix 2 knife apart before, it's a good idea to check out a couple/three YouTube videos about disassembly and re- assembly of this knife. It's pretty easy to do, but it's always a good idea to get a look ahead of how it's going to go.

*KNIFE IS NOT INCLUDED*

Am I forgetting anything? 🤔
