Rare Authentic Original Edwardian Art Deco 14K Gold Ice Crystal Glass Cube Tongs Sloan Pendant Charm 🧊 Fully hallmarked on the inner handle to which the bale is attached to, 14K and a partial Sloan & Co logo mark. Weighs approximately 0.8 of a gram. Approximately 1.41 cm (9/16 of an inch) in height from top handle curves to flat ice cube bottom, and approximately 9.1 mm (5.8/16 of an inch) in bottom width from furthest left bite edge to furthest right bite edge (gold edges holding the crystal ice cube). Seen so many copies of this charm even here on eBay, the original as this one is hallmarked on the inner handle. Before the invention of refrigeration and freezers ice had to be shipped in from the Nordic regions in the form of giant ice cubes and were handled with giant ice tongs, so I present you with a charm celebrating the invention of the fridge 1913-1940.
