Beautiful 1941 Vintage Longines 14k Gold Watch. I wrote to Longines about this timepiece and received the following reply “Dear Mr. He….., We thank you for contacting us and for your interest in Longines watches. Further to your request, we are pleased to provide the information contained in our handwritten registers. Originally, the serial number 6'147'xxx identifies a Longines mechanical manually wound movement, caliber 23M. It was produced in 1941 and invoiced to the Longines-Wittnauer Company, INC., which was at that time our agent for the USA.”
The watch is in phenomenal overall condition. I am unable to identify the exact reference and I’m lead to believe this is a unique piece. I have done extensive searches both online and through Longines and cannot find an exact match. Closest I have been able to locate was in November 2021 sale from Antiquarium of a similar looking timepiece that sold for 27,500 CHF. This reference is 14 karat gold, and was a larger case.
Please feel free to ask any questions before bidding. The Watch comes shipped with a beautiful, unused Molequin charcoal suede strap with a gold buckle and ships as the watch only and no box or papers.
