On Requiem from the internet: "Lloyd Webber took his inspiration from a story in The New York Times during the rule of terror of the Khmer Rouge in Cambodia about a boy forced to choose between killing himself or his sister. Requiem is divided into nine sections, each one corresponding to a section of the Mass for the dead." This version was recorded at No. 1 Studio, Abbey Road, London. 20th-22nd December 1984, and features Placid Domingo, Sarah Brightman, and Lorin Maazel.
This LP is the European version of the piece, produced in 1985 by His Master's Voice, catalog # EL 2702421. The gatefold jacket with moderate corner wear, light edge wear, no splits or ring. The LP is pristine, with no scratches will grade NM. The front jacket is NICELY SIGNED BY ANDREW LLOYD WEBBER AND PERFORMERS PLACIDO DOMINGO AND SARAH BRIGHTMAN. The autographs have not been authenticated, but are very consistent with others easily found online. The LP was purchased at a remarkable estate sale of signed books and records which took place in the Washington DC metro area over two (or more, still going on) weekends in April of 2025.
