This is a wonderful ring.  It would work well as a cocktail, dinner, every day, anniversary or even an engagement ring.  There is a single rectangular apparently emerald cut genuine natural amethyst set between two rows of 3 clear crystals.  The amethyst is a gorgeous shade of deep purple and has excellent color and clarity.  The band has a textured front and a polished back.  This ring is genuine 10 k white gold polished to a high mirror shine.  It has that warm glow and luster that only real gold has.  The inside of the band is marked 10 K and the piece weighs about 2.8 g.
