This is a wonderful ring.  It would work well as a cocktail, dinner, every day, anniversary or even an engagement ring.  There are 6 round brilliant cut genuine natural amethyst surrounding a central amethyst.  They are a gorgeous shade of deep purple and have excellent color and clarity.  The band has a ribbed texture typical of the mid century brutalist style.  The inside of the band is marked S&K, for the designer, and .375 which stands for 9 karat gold.  Usually gold markings like this are found on pieces from Europe.  This ring is genuine 9 k yellow gold polished to a high mirror shine.  It has that warm glow and luster that only real gold has.  The inside of the band is marked .375 and the piece weighs about 4.6 g.
