Water leaking from the bottom of the door
Visible cracks, tears, or warping in the seal
Mold or mildew buildup on the gasket
Door not sealing tightly (check for gaps when closed)
Inspect the seal for debris or food particles preventing a tight seal.
Clean the gasket with warm, soapy water and a soft cloth (avoid harsh chemicals).
Check the door alignment—misalignment can cause leaks even with a good seal.
Ensure the dishwasher is level—an unlevel unit can affect the door seal.
Phillips screwdriver
Flathead screwdriver (for prying)
Needle-nose pliers (optional)
Disconnect Power & Water Supply:
Turn off the dishwasher’s power at the circuit breaker.
Shut off the water supply valve.
Remove the Inner Door Panel:
Open the door and locate the screws along the inner door edge.
Remove the screws and carefully detach the inner panel to expose the seal.
Remove the Old Gasket:
The seal is held in a channel—gently pry it out using a flathead screwdriver.
Clean the channel thoroughly to remove residue.
Install the New Gasket:
Start at the top center and press the new seal into the channel evenly.
Work your way around the door, ensuring no twists or gaps.
Reassemble the Door:
Replace the inner panel and secure all screws.
Test for Leaks:
Restore power and water, then run a test cycle with a cup of vinegar to check for leaks.
Lubricate the seal with a food-grade silicone spray (if recommended) to prolong life.
Avoid overloading the dishwasher, as this can strain the door seal.
