Now about the "Semi-used". When I found this deck, it was in great condition to begin with, having only a single ding, but the deck tape was crap and the wheels were just rubber circles mounted on Stage 11 Indies. I dismantled the entire deck for cleaning and upgrades. Discarded the funky old wheels and selected a NOS set of reissue SC OJII Team Riders that were shelf queens a ta skate shop. Got a nice deal, the bearings are new. I gently scrubbed and wiped down the trucks paying close attention to NOT disturb what appears to be original sale labels on each of them. You can't read anything off of them now, but it just seemed appropriate to leave them, I 'dunno, nostalgia? Some of the old hardware sucked, like the bolt and washers, so I replaced them with some decent ones I had, and well, it came out killer in the end. I then gently removed the deck tape and revealed an almost perfect topside. You can see the way the deck tape was applied. The dark shading just south of center shows how the grip tape was applied. It did consist of the original SC sticker that had originally come with the deck, but it wasn't worth saving. I got all the adhesive off with no hassle and puy it all together adding some 1/8" soft risers. Like I said earlier I'm selling this as a "Functional" collectible. Give it its rightful place on your rack, then when it's time, grip it, then go rip it! You just need deck-tape, MAHALO!!
