Text-block edges are gilt. Marbled endpapers. VERY GOOD. Shows the vellum boards with subtle suggestions of discoloration from handling, extremities marginally shelf rubbed, handsome former owner bookplate of the period at the front paste-down, the early and late blanks with a suggestion of toning, otherwise the binding remains strong and tight, the text remains clean and unmarked, and the boards remain bright and distinct. As pictured.
