Up for sale is a set of detailed parts that make up the mount and left side details of the Han Solo blaster used in Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back.
These were used on the "Hoth" blaster. This version of the ESB blaster was only used during the Hoth outdoor scenes from the film which include the infamous Imperial Probe Droid blast and explosion scene.
The mount and disk were machined out of aluminum using an AutoCAD drawing based on all available reference photos of the original prop. Included is a vinyl spacer and three, Allen head bolts for attaching the mount. A 6-32 tap will be needed to attach the three bolts.
As with the "Bespin" version of the blaster, a motor/coil part was glued to the side of the blaster near the hammer. The modified motor/coil parts, made to resemble the original "c" clips were glued near the center of the blaster. Two piston halves were glued together, vertically and then mounted to a rectangular piece of aluminum with screw nuts. The current theory is that these nuts were used to hold two bolts in place that were used for a mount on the right side of the blaster.
The original parts mentioned were all from a V8 motor engine model kit. I was able to obtain and original kit from the 1960s which contained new parts, never used before. I also used a machined piece of aluminum with nuts to create the piston half assembly.
The parts for sale are cast out of high quality, dark grey resin. They are from a new mold with very sharp details.
