Late 1930's-Early 1940's All Cotton Floral Lace Chemise and matching Jacket. Skirt of the chemise is gored so it flows beautifully, has a "Tulip" shape to the flare below the hipline. Jacket has 3/4-Length bell sleeves, there are Chunky Cylinder shaped Butterscotch Bakelite Button accents at jacket, two at each sleeve and two at the lower collar, no closures on the jacket. Measures Chest 36", Waist 33-34", Hip 38-40", Length waist to hem 27 1/2", Shoulder to hem 45". This ensemble is in overall excellent wearable condition in a generous size. No holes noted in the lace, light underarm yellowing at the front of the arm holes of dress & inside edge of rear neckline, light brownish yellowing intermittently at jacket sleeves, hem, faint yellowing at jacket underarms-estate-direct (I've not dry-cleaned it or soaked). The collar has wire squiggly boning at the rear side to help it to stand up. Peach Rayon Lining at the front lapels, no slip included. And, (just as a cool point of provenance)-the original owner’s name was “Honey”...BUY-IT-NOW!
