This Americana-themed set from the American Bi-Centennial era is a classic collectible in glossy finish. These coasters were created for the Benj. Franklin Savings and Loan Company. Founded in 1925 in Portland, Oregon the Benj. Franklin President, Bob Hazen often appeared on TV hocking free givaways to draw in depositors from the 1950s throgh the 1980s. The company was siezed in 1990 during the nationwide Savings and Loan collapse. These coasters are an example of the type of item that would be given to new depositors.
