Antique 1910's Ruf-sail Sherbrooke navy blue raincoat with clear celluloid buttons and belt buckle. This is a full length coat that is 45" down the back, 17" shoulders, 23.5" long large puff sleeves, the belt is 35" long (and goes around the back of the waist inside the coat, it allows room for a bustle in the back ), the pocket is a double opening (one to the coat pocket, one to inside to be able to access a waist wallet etc.), the hood is dramatically large and attaches with 3 buttons (one is missing) and the material has a canvas like feel and drape to it and is full fitting. It is in a minimally washed condition with little rub fade and the inside is French seamed in a grey ribbon.

The name of this coat on the tag refers to types of coats worn on boats in the past and a town of the same name known for jackets.

Perfect as a gift or for any collector.
